About Wegner
The Udo Wegner foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting less privileged children in Africa. We are dedicated to providing quality education, medical health care, and safe living environments for the less fortunate children. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their background or circumstances in which through our programs, we strive to equip these young ones with the necessary life skills to help them navigate the real world.
We believe that, alongside learning, health care, and modern housing, it is critical to inspire these young people to keep fighting and never give up on their dreams. We at the Udo Wegner Foundation recognize that we cannot do it alone, and we rely on the generosity of our donors and partners to keep our work going.

My Story
I am German, but I was born in Communist Poland. My mother, along with me and my three brothers, moved to West Germany in 1972 when I was nine years old to reunite with family members after the Second World War. From 1986 to 1988, I served a full-time mission speaking Polish in Chicago, USA, for the Church of Jesus Christ LDS. During my full-time mission in Chicago, I was able to share the fullness of the Gospel with the Polish and American people. I learned to love the people and families and realized that children are the future of tomorrow. After my mission, I returned to Germany, got married, and moved to Chicago, USA, in late 1989. I love children and have four of my own, three sons, and a daughter. I worked as a Business Director in the automotive industry for over 30 years. It was always the desire of my heart to support children in their needs, so I founded the children's orphanage foundation to help children have a brighter future.
